Where Would You Like to Go on Vacation?

November 30th, 2008 by admin

What would your dream Travel and Vacation plans look like? Would you go to a ski resort or an oceanfront hotel and just bake in the sun? Then there are those people who just want to go on a cruise and eat and party their vacation away! Of those choices, I would prefer the beach, especially if it is oceanfront property. Maybe I would enjoy going on a tour of the United States. I don’t think I would want to be on one of those guided tours though. I would want to go to see whatever was on my mind at the moment and spend as much time there as I wanted.

It can be used to the benefit of others, behind and indicators to predict the immediate direction of an economy to estimate.

1970’s Barbie Dream Houses Were Plastic

November 30th, 2008 by admin

In the 1970’s, the barbie dream house changed drastically from earlier versions. Mattel, the company, that manufactures Barbie and her dream house, started making the dream houses from plastic. This was an improvement over the cardboard houses of the past. With the plastic house, there also came plastic accessories. Barbie is a high maintenance doll, so the accessories are not just the basics. Any girl who loved Barbie, wanted a 1970s barbie dream house. In fact, many little girls dreamed of getting their very own dream house for their Barbie for their birthday or Christmas. Even now, you can find a 1970’s barbie dream house for sale at an online marketplace or auction.

What is Debt Settlement?

November 30th, 2008 by admin

An arrangement between a debtor and a creditor to repay a debt generally for a lowered payoff amount is called a debt settlement or debt negotiations.   When a debtor is not able to pay the debt any longer for any reason, a credit card debt settlement program may be the only option.  Generally, only unsecured debts, like those accrued with credit cards, can be negotiated for settlement.  Many third party companies offer debt settlement and negotiation services. These companies contact both the lender and the borrower and negotiate on the behalf of borrower to get the repayment amount and terms reduced.  A debt settlement company may be able to get the debt reduced by 50%, however expect their fees to be in the ball park of 10-20% of the debt amount.

My Blog About a Wonderful Giving Man, Ron Pollack

November 30th, 2008 by admin

I feel compelled to write about this guy, Ron Pollack, that I read a few extraordinary things about online.  By looking through his achievements on social networking sites like Facebook and HubPages, I found him on other social networking sites too.

After Ron graduated from Yale and then Harvard he joined his families history in Real Estate before deciding to move on.  He has been able to influence several businesses with his financial and investment strategies causing his companies and several others to flourish, specializing in Hedge Funds.  What brought him back to this market throughout his success is his truly accomplished art of Short-Selling.  He has reaped the benefits of dedication and determination in more than one industry.  He has a intense humanity when it comes to charitable foundations but not only that he is also well rounded with education and work experience.

The New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project, the Vail Valley Foundation and the Community Learning Center are just some of the associations that have benefited from his incredible skills and commitment.  Some of these projects provided deeply needed medical assistance for our selfless Hero’s of September 11th.  Truly heartwarming these touching stories are of these Hero’s who are finally able to sleep a whole night through and rid them selves of that horrid “9/11” cough that hundreds suffer from.  It is noteworthy that Ron Pollack, a highly successful businessman dedicated to his family, contributes his valuable time to help lead these worthwhile foundations and achieve tremendous charity.

Marriage records: Registers

November 30th, 2008 by admin

When researching free marriage or wedding records for family history purposes, most people look for licenses but may not know of or think of another source of information, the marriage register. When the marriage ceremony was complete, a clerk would often record the license in a book called a register. This would usually include the bride and groom’s names, the person who performed the marriage, and the date and place of marriage. There may be more information available on a license but the important thing to remember is that a license is not proof of a marriage since many couples applied for a license but didn’t follow through. The register record was made only on completion of the ceremony.

They can always get me tickets

November 30th, 2008 by admin

When I was growing up hockey was a way of life.  Everyone waited for the cold to hit and then we would run to the lake to see if the signs were up saying it was safe to skate.  It was good clean fun that we all loved and even though I still carry some scars from those days I look back at the time on the ice as some of the best times in my life.  Today I do it vicariously through Hockey and NHL Tickets.   If I am in a city where hockey is played I am on the phone to Hallmark Tickets because they have never let me down.

How to eat healthier while dining out

November 29th, 2008 by admin

For most people, it’s very difficult to eat healthy and keep your weight under control if you eat out often (especially for business). Let’s face it, restaurants aren’t in the business of making us thinner… they are in the business of selling more food!

Here are a few tips for eating healthy at restaurants and dining out:

Skip the bread that they bring to the table. It only adds empty calories and refined carbs that won’t do your belly fat any good.
Skip any sweetened drinks and only choose either water with lemon or an unsweetened iced tea.
Avoid anything breaded or deep fried and try to stick with meat, veggies, and salad for most of your meal.

So what exactly are these government vehicle auctions? Well, a government vehicle auction is an event held every now and then that puts up for sale all that governments ‘old’ vehicles. It is run in the form of an auction where people will bid on each vehicle. What this means, is that you can get a really good vehicle at a absurdly low price. So now you know what a government vehicle auction is and all you have to do now, is go out and try find one. The easiest way I have found is to go and look on the Internet.

Wrap your body in luxury

November 29th, 2008 by admin

One of the best moments is to step out of the tub and into luxurious bath towels. The comfort and warmth that wraps around your body can hardly be compared to anything else. The contrast of the chill from the water to the comfortable feel of the towel is amazing. That is why buying bath towels of high quality is so important. You want material that will last a long time and not wear out easily from frequent use. Thick towels will absorb water and not loose its weight after machine washing. The price you pay is well worth the longlasting quality that you receive.

We turned a problem in to an advantage

November 29th, 2008 by admin

When we visited Paris we had reservation at a very nice hotel. The problem we found when we arrived was that the hotel had a major problem just two days before we arrived. The staff at the hotel offered to introduce us to renting apartment in Paris as a tempory alternative. We were there for 3 weeks and after the first week the problem at our hotel was resolved but we had grown to love the cozy Paris apartment we rented. Now that we know there are short stay apartments available in Paris we may never stay an another hotel when we visit there.
