Bankruptcy: A Real Choice

December 27th, 2008 by admin

While for some it conjures the image of Monopoly games, bankruptcy can be a real relief to those trapped in a financial hole. Bankruptcy frees the person from all existing debt, an attractive option to those drowning in debt.

Not all bad debt can be eliminated by declaring your self insolvent. Government student loans for one are not subject to bankruptcy rules. Most other types of debt are covered though, including high interest credit card debt.

It can be an emotional option, but thousands of people have elected to file bankruptcy, some more than once in a lifetime. If there truly is no other option, it can be a good choice as long as one understands how bankruptcy will effect them in the long haul.
