A major reason people choose to search people records is when they are adopted, in hopes of finding their birth parents. A relative of mine is going through this process right now. He was adopted as a three year old, and has never gotten the opportunity to meet his birth parents at all. He feels like he is missing out on something, even though his adoptive parents have given him every opportunity to excel in all domains. He is suddenly very resentful, saying that they do not love him and that growing up with them was not what he wanted. I hope that he can find and meet his birth parents and somehow make peace with his situation.
