Thermal coffee makers are a good choice for those people who value convenience and hot coffee! I know I can’t stand lukewarm coffee. My Mom doesn’t seem to mind it. But if tea or coffee gets too cold (or just lukewarm), I just can’t drink it.

Other advantages of thermal coffee makers include the fact that the thermal carafe will keep the coffee hot for longer. At least, that is the theory. You really have to do due diligence as I’ve read some thermal coffee makers are not very good. One in particular spilled when making the coffee, and pouring it (poor design of carafe) and didn’t even make very hot coffee. Mind you, unless you get a coffee maker as a gift, you can always return it if you don’t find it works very well.

Overall, a good quality thermal coffee maker is a good investment if you like drip filter coffee.
