IRBr in Brazil

The Instituto Rio Branco - IRBr, is the primary point of learning for anyone wanting to be part of Brazilian foreign policy. The school was established during the turbulent period of 1945 when most of the world was involved in World War II. Educating those on a diplomatic career course to be a consular, the advanced school also administers the public test that assesses a student’s prospects for entering the service. Students learn how to handle current Brazilian foreign policy issues such as the country’s prospects for using biofuel, agriculture, trade with foreign entities, and human rights among many others.
